“Excellent Family Holiday at Chalet Lingayoni”
We had a lovely 7 day stay at Chalet Lingayoni. We were in the loft at the top of the chalet, which was both comfortable and spacious. The hospitality was excellent, and I have to reiterate that Richard and Alice were the perfect hosts. The food was high class, with generous portions and the children spoilt by their dedicated dishes.
We were a bit worried being outside the village and having to rely on the lift back and forth, but this, in no way, hampered our enjoyment. Richard and colleagues were always there when we needed them.
I would recommend the chalet to anybody, and I look forward to a return visit.
“Has the WOW factor…”
Just back from a fantastic Easter holiday at the Chalet Lingayoni. You couldn’t not be impressed with the chalet and apartments. The communal area is very spacious and definitely has the wow factor. The apartments were clean and spacious and worked really well for us being a large group of 24.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the standard of food was excellent, as was the wine selection and at reasonable prices. The canapes and aperetifs by the fire was a lovely way to start the evening. The minibus shuttle to the slopes worked well and leaving our skis and boots in the ski shop was very convenient and hassle free. Alpe D’Huez is a superb ski resort catering for all levels of skiers. Normally at the end of a week’s skiing holiday I’m ready to come home but this time I was not! Would highly recommend this chalet as would all the other guests in our group and I’m pretty sure we will be returning next year.
“Home away from home”
I have been to Chalet Lingayoni twice now and intend to return at least once a year if I can. The chalet itself is beautiful and relaxed – a mix of contemporary design and alpine chic. Breathtaking views of the mountains. But what makes this place so special is the incredible hospitality (and truly great food, far better than you would expect). We felt not only well looked after, but that we made real friends. As for the skiing – it’s a huge area and there is plenty to challenge skiers at any level, and many easy runs for beginners so they don’t feel like they’re just stuck on the bunny run. Be sure not to miss the short walk to the enormous waterfall! Thank you everyone at Small Wonders! I can’t wait to stay at your other locations too.
“First Class staff and accommodation”
We stayed for 3 nights in May and were delighted with our choice of accommodation. Stephen and Laura were such excellent hosts we felt as if we were staying with “old” friends. The food was superb. The views were amazing. The hot tub was a welcome extra, which we used every night after a long day of mountain activities. We can not recommend you highly enough. Thank you.
“Hosts and Chalet to die for”
We stayed the first week in Feb 2015. I would like to explain in detail with lots of superlatives how good this place is but suffice to say: As good hosts that I have ever had – genuine, kind, professional yet friendly – above all else they made the holiday. The chalet super clean, super food with excellent wine. Vaujany isnot in the hustle and bustle of Alpe d’huez but with a private shuttle taking no more than 5 mins and leaving your boots and skis at the hire shop at the bottom of the lift for free each night the access to the piste could not be easier.
We pre-booked boots and skis through Small Wonders and simply gave our name and all was waiting for us then paid shop prices including a discount at the end of the week. We booked flights to Grenoble, Bens Bus transfer and the Chalet separate. The price for the Chalet given the service and food was excellent value for money. Small wonders were a dream to deal with. if there was an issue or a question they were at the end of the phone and settled the matter immediately – great company.
Laura, Charlotte and Steven – you were amazing and once again we thank you.
“Excellent ski holiday at Chalet La Maitreya”
I have only previously taken ski package holidays and so I was a little anxious about booking La Maitreya and scheduled flights. However, this was truly the best ski holiday we have been on!
All aspects of the holiday were perfect. Richard arranged for pick up and return to Lyon airport at very reasonable cost. The Chalet itself is lovely, a real home from home, with a log fire every day in the lounge. Afternoon tea cakes were amazing and then at 6pm we would be served wonderful tapas. Twice a week we had a happy hour where we sampled different French wines courtesy of La Maitreya
Laura and Steven created the most wonderful evening meals – my son and I are real foodies and so this part of the holiday is very important to us. Each course was so creative, looked beautiful and tasted wonderful. The portion size was perfect.
Every day, we would be taken to the ski lifts whenever we wanted and then we could be picked up at a time that suited us – just as good as any ski in, ski out accommodation.
I will certainly be returning!!!
“Can’t beat Champagne Tuesday’s & Thursday’s”
Fantastic place! Visited with a large group of friends (mid 20 year olds) for a week in January where all throughly enjoyed. The chalet, the food, cleanliness of the venue were second to none and the service was exceptional. All of the group would highly recommend and are planning a future visit! Many thanks from all the dentists to Etelka & Robin!
“Fantastic Food & Hospitality”
Had an amazing Easter Weekend at Chalet Le Bullou. Amazing food and very hospitable. We checked in early and were allowed to keep our rooms on our last day so we could shower and pack after getting a half day in on the slopes. Decent hot tubs, good free wine and an honesty bar. Very plush dining/living room area.
“All round best chalet experience”
A group of 5 of us spent a week here early March and had an amazing week. Les Brevieres has far more charm than other resorts in Espace Killy and the rest of the valley is easily accessible. We easily made it across to the far side of Val d’Isere during our time here. Our chalet hosts were great – by far the best we have experienced from a number of chalet stays. The food was excellent. Robin is a great chef and it was great to be served a large variety of dishes of good quality food during our stay. My favourite was the crispy duck – yum! The rooms are a good size and the hot tubs were great to relax in after a full day on the slopes! Will definitely be back!
“Authentic Chalet experience, wonderful views, great hospitality”
This fabulous French chalet with its authentic French savoyard decor, welcoming staff and hot tub with mountain views has certainly found a place in my heart, so much so we are going back! The food was of a really high standard and plenty of it, the village is one of the prettiest ones in the area and the mountain one of the most breathtaking. Can’t wait to see you again Chalet Bullou!
